Grocery Outlet
Graphic Design
Grocery Outlet's branding went through an overhaul about 3 years prior to my stint there, streamlining the design process and making the brand message more consistent across all assets—from consumer-facing to internal communications, corporate to store-level. That being said, I was also given the opportunity to help the in-house design team audit what was working and what could be improved.
With this foundation, I was fortunate to work on a variety of assets based on a balancing act of brand guidelines vs pushing a new perspective. One month I was tasked with creating way-finding graphics for the HQ office and other days I could be creating ads or internal logos.

THE ASK
It was Fall of 2021, and there was anticipation of employees coming back to the office soon (wait, you mean I have to shower and wear pants now before I 'go to work?'). With many employees having been hired in a 100% W.F.H. scenario in the past couple of years–not ever having stepped foot in the office–HR thought it would be good to add some visual guidance around the office so one doesn't end up walking 200 steps more than they need to find the printer or the conference room that's actually 20 feet away.

FINAL INSTALLATION
After several rounds of figuring out what made the most sense for visibility without imposing on the existing office layout and aesthetic, a final package was confirmed through proofing 'in real life' and a fully spec'd out document sent to the sign installation company indicating color, sizing, and placement for each room/space.
